Jazz in Pittsburgh
On Monday evening, April 13, 2009, B-PEP in association with Pittsburgh Jazz Society sponsored a six hour jazz marathon featuring local Jazz Musicians and vocalists at Holiday Inn University Center’s Bridges Lounge , which offered a fun filled evening for an appreciative audience. We do not have the opportunity to hear such array of talent at a given time here in the ‘burgh’. It was reminiscent of bygone days when we could enjoy entertainment by Erroll Garner, Billy Eckstein, Phyllis Hyman , George Benson, Nancy Wilson, Stanley Turentine , Ahmad Jamal, Walt Harper and many more.
Hopefully, in the near future we can bring Jazz back to Pittsburgh.

Welcome Home Brian
My adopted son, Brian, just returned from his second tour in Iraq. His playful manner and concern for others have been missed by his family and coworkers. Cards,emails, gifts and prayers for him and his comrades offered relief during their time at war.
We encourage others to continue supporting our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.
